#15 Closed? UPDATE 2:

hearing the #15 Fenley-Moore Ford team has closed up and laid all employees off including crew chief Joey Knuckles. From what I hear Ted Musgrave left a few weeks ago(7-13-2000) UPDATE: Less than a year after buying the #15 Cup race team from legendary car owner Bud Moore and promising that the operation would remain in Spartanburg(SC), Fenley Motorsports has put the shop up for sale. Inability to lure sponsors — a problem that eventually forced Moore to sell after nearly three years of limited activity — has forced brothers Randy and Robert Fenley, and his wife Sue, to make plans to build a new facility somewhere on Interstate 85, possibly even close to the Charlotte-based center of the racing community. The Fenleys have entered four races this season and are without a driver. Derrike Cope left in April, saying he was told the team would go to every race and was in violation of his contract by not doing so. Ted Musgrave filled in for one event and failed to qualify for another. Fenley says the are moving into a new facility and are not shutting down and going away. With the team cutting back on spending while it hunts for help, Moore stepped away from his position as a consultant in February. The name of the team was changed from Fenley/Moore Motorsports to Fenley Motorsports.
