Based on Dale Jarrett’s on-track performance and end-of-season bonuses, Ford Credit, co-sponsor of the #88 Quality Care Service/Ford Taurus, has donated $482,500 to the Komen Foundation since 1998. Ford Credit gives the Komen Foundation $10,000 for each of Dale’s wins, $5,000 for each pole, $7,500 for every second-place finish and $5,000 for each third-place finish over the course of the season. So far in 2000, including his victory in the Daytona 500, Jarrett’s combination of victories, top-three finishes and poles has amounted to $87,500 in donations from Ford Credit to the Komen Foundation(Ford PR – for more info see my Racing Charities page)(7-31-2000)
