readers are telling me that the Fans Only section(passworded) of the Chad Little site is reporting that current #97 John Deere Ford driver will be released from the #97 ride so Kurt Busch can run the final seven races of the season before taking over the full time ride in 2001 and run for Raybestos Rookie of the Year against Casey Atwood(8-3-2000) UPDATE: please note that the ROTY rules changed at the beginning of 2000, a driver can now drive in Seven(7) races during a season without losing their ROTY eligibility. Recent reports say Little would step aside so Busch could run the final seven races of 2000. Little says he has heard no such thing.
