Hut Stricklin was named driver of #90 Hills Bros Coffee Ford for the remainder of the season, according to team owner Junie Donlavey. Stricklin has been with the team for three weeks, finishing well at Indianapolis and acting as the crew chief for Brian Simo at Watkins Glen last week, Simo failed to make the race when Qualifying was rained out. Donlavey has not hired another crew chief because Stricklin, who has been calling the shots for himself, said he wants to take the time to hire someone he is sure will complement him(Keystone Marketing/Hills Bros Racing)(8-15-2000)
