This week’s race at Martinsville will become another milestone in Brett Bodine’s racing career. Bodines’s 400th NASCAR Winston Cup career start will come on Sunday at Martinsville in the #11 Ralph’s Supermarket Ford. Martinsville is also where Bodine began his professional racing career in a 1979 Modified race. Bodine’s first Cup start was in May in 1986 at Charlotte, driving for Rick Hendrick (started 32, finished 18th). 1988 marked Bodine’s first full year in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series (in Bud Moore’s #15 Motorcraft car).(Brett Bodine Racing PR)(9-26-2000)
