Hut Stricklin replaced Jeremy Mayfield, who was overcome with exhaust fumes(he did NOT have the Flu), in the #12 Mobil One Ford with about 150 laps left. Overheating ended Stricklin’s run after about 30 laps. It was the sixth consecutive race Mayfield’s team has failed to finish(Roanoke Times)(10-2-2000)
