Today’s announcement in Charlotte, North Carolina, made by Allen Benson, brand manager for Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD), ended months of speculation surrounding the status of Ford Customer Service Division’s sponsorship plans in NASCAR Winston Cup racing. The Wood Brothers, acknowledged pioneers in the sport of stock car auto racing, are the winningest team in Ford Racing history with 96 NASCAR victories in 50 years of competition. Eddie and Len Wood, sons of Glen Wood and nephews to Leonard Wood, carry on the legacy of one of NASCAR’s most revered teams. Elliott Sadler will drive the #21 Motorcraft Ford Taurus. A longtime team sponsor in NASCAR Winston Cup, Ford Customer Service Division named Bud Moore Engineering’s Ford Thunderbirds with Motorcraft from 1985-1993 and with Quality Care from 1994-1995. From 1996-2000, FCSD teamed with Ford Credit to co-sponsor Robert Yates Racing’s #88 Quality Care Service/Ford Credit Thunderbirds and Tauruses.
