PPI Crew Chief:

After thorough evaluation and discussion, PPI Motorsports and Brad Parrott, crew chief for the #32 Tide Ford in Cup, have mutually agreed to part ways. Parrott has elected to pursue other opportunities outside of PPI Motorsports. PPI Motorsports has named Scott Houston, who served as the interim crew chief on the #32 Tide Ford this past weekend at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, to the position full-time effective today. Houston, 35, of Hickory, N.C., has worked as an engineering liaison for PPI Motorsports for the past year. In August, Houston also served as crew chief for PPIM’s McDonald’s Busch series effort with driver Chad Little at Michigan Speedway, where the team qualified 11th and finished 10th – their best Busch series performance to date. Brother to newly announced PPIM/McDonald’s Winston Cup driver Andy Houston and son of legendary NASCAR Busch Series competitor Tommy Houston, Scott grew up working on stock cars and served as crew chief on his father’s successful Busch series efforts for eleven years(PPI PR)(10-12-2000)
