hearing that Michael Waltrip was testing a Dale Earnhardt Inc Chevy at Homestead this week. Waltrip is of course going to drive the #15? NAPA Auto Parts Chevy for DEI in 2001 and rumor has it that he MAY drive the last two Cup races(Homestead and Atlanta) of the season in the car. Waltrip presently drives the #7 Ultra Motorsports Chevy(10-26-2000) UPDATE: RPM2 Night reported that Waltrip said it was unlikely that he would drive for his new DEI team at Homestead and/or Atlanta. BUT, just in case #7 owner Jim Smith and sponsor Nations Rent changes their minds and lets Waltrip out of his contract, DEI has two Chevy;s ready for Waltrip to drive, for Homestead the car would be sponsored by Aaron’s Rent and the Atlanta car is a NAPA Auto Parts scheme(11-3-2000)
