Atlanta Testing:

#46-Todd Bodine set the pace on a full day of testing at Atlanta Motor Speedway with a top speed of 188.636mph (29.39 seconds). Winston Cup drivers Jeremy Mayfield, Buckshot Jones, Brett Bodine, and Hermie Sadler, as well as ARCA driver Larry Foyt, were also testing Wednesday at AMS in preparation for the Nov. 17-19 NAPA 500 weekend. Todd Bodine ran his fast lap in a third Haas/Carter Motorsports car, which he will run in the NAPA 500. Bodine is expected to take over the seat vacated when Waltrip retires this season. #11-Brett Bodine was second fastest of the day with a lap of 187.045mph. The track record is held by Geoffrey Bodine, 197.478 mph set in 1997. Geoffrey Bodine is also expected to run the NAPA 500 in a third Andy Petree Racing car, teaming with Kenny Wallace and Joe Nemechek. #12-Jeremy Mayfields fast lap of the day was 185.915 mph, and Buckshot Jones, who will run the NAPA 500 with his own team Buckshot Racing had a fast lap at 183.942mph. Sadler, a BGN veteran, is expected to run the #60 Power Team Chevy at Atlanta and ran a fast lap of 184.010mph. And in his first laps around Atlanta in an ARCA car, Foyt had a fast lap of 180.525mph(AMS PR)(11-8-2000)
