Ford Quality Care and Ford Credit will commemorate their five-year sponsorship of the #88 Robert Yates Racing Taurus driven with a special paint scheme at Atlanta for the NAPA 500. Dale Jarrett’s car will carry the original 1996 paint scheme with a special message of thanks to the team. The racecar, originally a Ford Thunderbird, was first seen on the racetrack at Daytona Speedweek where Jarrett teamed up with rookie crew chief Todd Parrott to win what was then the Busch Clash and the 1996 Daytona 500. Ford Quality Care and Ford Credit joined Robert Yates Racing five years ago to sponsor what has since become one of the most successful and consistent teams in NASCAR Winston Cup. The message on the decklid will read “Robert Yates Racing, Thanks for 5 great years.
