Somebody told Ted Musgrave the other day that they’d read in the paper where he wasn’t looking for a full-time ride in Winston Cup racing. That was news to Musgrave, who took over as driver of the #01 Team Sabco Chevy after Kenny Irwin’s death in July and piloted that car until it didn’t make the field for the season’s next-to-last at Homestead. Musgrave says he has been offered some part time rides in 2001 but is actively looking for a full-time ride. Musgrave’s wife, Debi, is battling leukemia. One report said that Musgrave wanted a part-time job because of that, but the Musgraves have been dealing with that for some time and want to keep on living their lives while that fight goes on.(in part from That’s Racin’)(11-25-2000)
