Gaughan to attempt Las Vegas: Brendan Gaughan(#62 team), was making his first laps in a 2000 Chevy that his Orleans Racing Team has leased from Richard Childress Racing. Gaughan also secured Childress engines for testing and qualifying. If the defending Winston West stock-car champion becomes one of the 43 to start the Las Vegas Cup race, he’ll use a race engine from Childress. The first adjustment the team had to make to the car was in the steering, which was originally set up for Earnhardt.
