Murry at Sears Point: It appears veteran road racer David Murry may join some of his fellow road course specialists at the Watkins Glen Winston Cup race in August and, possibly, this weekend at Sears Point as a late replacement. Apparently, Murry has been actively speaking with teams whose drivers are not particularly comfortable on road courses and he may just land a ride as a result. Some teams have also asked Murry to act as a “coach” for their drivers. Last year, at Watkins Glen, he was a consultant to Jeff Burton. Burton ended up finishing third. Murry, who just returned from the 24 Hours of Le Mans, has been competing in both the American Le Mans Series and Grand Am Series this season(6-21-2001)
