Chicagoland Testing UPDATE: Seven drivers tested at the new Chicagoland Speedway on Wednesday. #26-Spencer and #66-Bodine joined five drivers who tested Tuesday, #55-Hamilton, #84-Robinson, #30-Jeff Green, #12-Mayfield and #9-Elliott. No word on any speeds but Jeremy Mayfield compared it to Las Vegas with more banking and faster. Joe Nemechek took a few laps in the #55 Chevy of his teammate(Hamilton) to test his progress with his injuries. Usually this is against NASCAR rules (a teammates testing one car) but they relaxed the rules for the injury situation(PRN’s Garage Pass)(6-27-2001) UPDATE: Stacy Compton described the track as “the fastest on the circuit, possibly faster than Texas. We’ll all be curious to see how NASCAR attempts to slow things down out here, if at all.
