Kodiak out a sponsor of #92 after season: NASCAR Winston Cup team owner, Mark Melling, announced today that his team is actively pursuing a primary sponsor for the #92 Dodge, driven by Stacy Compton, for the 2002 racing season and beyond. After more than 20 years of involvement in the sport, Conwood Sales Company, L.P., the parent company for the Kodiak brand of smokeless tobacco, gave notice to Melling that in 2002 they will no longer be a sponsor of a Winston Cup car. “Team owner Mark Melling and driver Stacy Compton have represented the Kodiak brand in an outstanding fashion for the last two years,” said Conwood’s VP of Marketing, Woody Cothren. “We cannot say enough good things about our involvement with Melling Racing.
