According to a garage source, don’t be surprised if McDonald’s rejoins Bill Elliott as his sponsor, and Matt Kenseth comes aboard with assistance from his long-time backer, DeWalt(Sporting News), don’t know anymore on the DeWalt/Kenseth thing(7-9-2001) UPDATE 2: Despite published reports to the contrary, Dodge Dealers will remain the primary sponsor of both Ray Evernham Motorsports Winston Cup teams next season with drivers Bill Elliott and Casey Atwood, said Dave Elshoff, senior manager of motorsports operations for Dodge. Elshoff said no changes are expected to the primary sponsors of either team. McDonald’s has been rumored to want to return to Elliott’s team and other reports have said the Dodge Dealers wanted to scale back their involvement. Both are untrue, Elshoff said.
