Bliss out of the #27? UPDATE 4 Mast in, rest of the year – Bickle in the #50?: hearing driver Mike Bliss and the Eel River Racing team have parted ways. The team has failed to make the last six Cup races(7-21-2001) UPDATE: Mike Bliss is the second driver to bite the dust with Eel River Racing in the last three weeks. Kenny Wallace was the first. The team has missed six races, including the last two (actually three) with Bliss attempting to qualify. Sources say Rick Mast will be in the car at Pocono.(Sporting News)(7-23-2001) UPDATE 2: Rick Mast is in the #27 Eel River Racing Pontiac at Pocono. Sources tell me it is a one race deal and Mast will return to the #50 Midwest Transit Chevy at Indy after the team skipped Pocono. The team is looking for a sponsor(7-25-2001) UPDATE 3: Winston Cup driver Rick Mast said he hopes to have his driving future cleared up early this week, but as of Saturday he still had just a one-race deal to run the # 27 Pontiacs of Eel River Racing(That’s Racin’)(7-29-2001) UPDATE 4: Rick Mast will drive the #27 Eel River Racing Pontiac for the remainder of 2001.
