Gordon wins his 3rd Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday. #24-Jeff Gordon got the lead late in the race, only changed 2 tires on his last pitstop and held off #40-Sterling Marlin to win his 3rd career Brickyard 400 and 56th career Winston up win. Rounding out the top 5 were #10-Benson(3rd), #2-Wallace(4th) and #97-Busch(5th). Gordon increases his Points lead with his 4th win of the season (now has 3027) to 160 over #88-Jarrett (finished 12th) and 179 over #28-Rudd (finished 39th). Gordon started 27th, the farthest a driver has started and won a Brickyard 400, Dale Jarrett started 24th in 1996 and won.
