Can’t Forget: This weekend marks the 10th anniversary of J.D. McDuffie’s fatal crash at The Glen in turn five. McDuffie’s violent crash – and those of Tommy Kendall’s and Geoff Bodine’s in the same sweeping left-hander – spurred the creation of the “Inner-Loop” chicane connecting the backchute with turn five.(The Leader), see a picture of McDuffie on my Driver Tribute page(8-9-2001)
