Newman wins pole at Darlingtonby 3mph. #02-Ryan Newman won the pole for Saturday’s South Carolina 200 at Darlington with a lap Friday at 169.246 mph, slightly off the pace of the record he set in winning the pole for the March BGN race at the track. #21-Mike Skinner, who won the pole last weekend at Bristol, qualified second with a speed of 166.163mph. #57-Jason Keller was third, while #35-Lyndon Amick and #10-Jeff Green rounded out the top five. Series points leader Kevin Harvick will line up 14th. Tina Gordon, a regular in the Hooters ProCup series, will make her first series start, 42nd in the #96 Chevy.
