Driver Lance Hooper suffered sever burns to his back and outer hip area while driving for the #73 team of Ron Crosby and Joey Sonnatag at the Nazareth CTS race last Sunday. No insulation between the oil cooler and seat was the cause of Hoopers Burns. “Less than half way through the race I was cooking ,” said Lance. He was having a good run and wasn’t about to pull in for help. Lance finished the race 10th and afterward was taken to the infield care center where his burns were treated. “I’m sure the crew will have fixed the truck before Richmond”.(9-6-2001)
