Rudd bumps way to Win: #28-Ricky Rudd won the Chevrolet Monte Carlo 400 at Richmond after nudging #29-Kevin Harvick out of the way in the final laps of the race, returning the favor as Harvick had bumped his way past Rudd on lap 383 of the 400 race. The win coupled with #24-Jeff Gordon’s tough run (36th after being bumped by #40-Marlin and hitting the wall early in the race, but coming back to run laps and finish the race), allowed Rudd to gain 120 points on Gordon’s point lead. Gordon now leads Rudd by 222 with #88-Jarrett back in 3rd place, 393 points back.
