Trickle to help out Marcis at Martinsville: Dave Marcis contacted Dick Trickle last week to see if hed possibly be able to practice and qualify his #71 Realtree Chevy at Martinsville Speedway the weekend of October 12-14, 2001. Marcis has a previous engagement planned for Friday, but will be able to drive the car in the race on Sunday. Trickle agreed to help Marcis out and was up to his race shop near Ashville, NC last week to make sure the seat and pedals would fit him. Martinsville hasnt been one of Trickles best qualifying tracks, but hes always raced well there. Marcis felt theyd make the race on points if not on time(Dick Trickle Fan Club Newsletter)(10-3-2001)
