Jones Honors Girl: Winston Cup driver Buckshot Jones will run Sunday’s race with a hair bow in his #44 Dodge given to him by Bobby and Pam Simmons, the parents of a 13-year-old girl, Alicia Simmons, who died June 7 of a congenital heart defect. Alicia, of Homestead, Fla., was a Jones fan and had first seen him race in a Grand National event at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Alicia’s 15-year-old brother, R.J., suffers from the same ailment.(That’s Racin’), ALSO The weekend also has the possibility of becoming Jones, most memorable and exciting week, as he and his wife Jina are expecting their first child.
