Mike Wallace to the #33? UPDATE: Charlotte’s NBC 6 reported Tuesday night that “we hear that Mike Wallace met with Andy Petree today to discuss driving the #33 car and possibly a deal coud be hammered out very soon for the entire 2002 season. Sources also tell us that Mike [Wallace] will at least drive the #33 at daytona with or without sponsorship unless something better falls in his lap.”(nbc6.com)(11-28-2001) UPDATE: Andy [Petree] and I have agreed to at least run the Daytona 500 next year, Wallace said. If a sponsor comes on board before that for a full-year deal, then Ill be there for the year. If not, then well see what happens after Daytona. In addition to the APR deal, Wallace will also be driving the No. 4 Biagi Bros.-owned Chevrolet in the Busch Series. In addition, Wallace is planning on defending his 2000 truck win in the inaugural race at Daytona. Kenny Schrader and I hooked up for me to drive for him in the Craftsman Truck race at Daytona, Wallace added. Thats a Federated Auto Parts-sponsored deal in a truck that Kenny owns.(NASCAR.com)(11-30-2001)
