Frank Kimmel is ARCAs reigning champion as the circuit enters its 50th year, and Kimmel is switching from #46 to #50 to commemorate the anniversary. “Its a great honor to commemorate ARCAs 50th year,” said Kimmel. “My father was an ARCA racer and won some races over here. In fact, my dad raced with ARCA in its first year in 53 at the old Detroit fairgrounds dirt mile. He led the race in a 1937 Ford Coupe until his cylinder head split right down the middle. In conjunction with ARCA’s 50th anniversary, we will be running the number 50 at Daytona only. In addition, we will be sporting the decals of Discount Auto Parts as well as Advance Auto Parts. Advance acquired Discount this past November and they are the title sponsor of the Daytona ARCA race.
