Bobby Bakeeff has been named the new crew chief for Tim Sauter and the #19 AP Performance Chevy BGN team. Bakeeff, a Hialeah, FL native, leaves his position as car chief for the #17 Reiser Enterprises BGN effort driven by Matt Kenseth. Bakeeff worked for Reiser Enterprises for the past three years and will be reunited with the fleet of Chevrolet Monte Carlos AP Performance purchased from the Reiser organization prior to the start of the 2002 Busch Series season. Bakeeff’s racing resume also includes a stint at Akins Motorsports with drivers Elton Sawyer and Glenn Allen, Jr. Bakeeff replaces Joe Shear, Jr. as the AP crew chief.
