Sad News: Tony Furr, serving as crew chief this weekend for [#7] Ultra/Evernham Motorsports driver Casey Atwood, returned to Charlotte late Saturday to attend a funeral Sunday for his mother-in-law, who died on Friday. Mike Shiplett, the team’s car chief, served as acting crew chief. Co-owner Ray Evernham also assisted in making pit calls.
