UPDATE’s and IMAGES and a new page: #8-Dale Earnhardt Jr will run a #3 Taz scheme at Richmond in the BGN race and that there is a chance the Looney Toons schemes may return at the Richmond Cup race.(5-10-2002) UPDATE: The Sports Business Journal reports that Chevy is set to reprise the promotion that put Looney Tunes characters on seven NASCAR Winston Cup cars last season.(5-14-2002) UPDATE – the announcement: On Thursday, May 23rd (TODAY), some of NASCAR’s biggest stars, including Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Jeff Green, among others, will be seen LIVE on NASCAR.com as their cars are unveiled with Looney Tunes character art. NASCAR.com, the official site of NASCAR, will provide fans the opportunity to see the new paint scheme unveiled live via Web cast from Food Lion Speed Street in Charlotte, NC, at 12:00noon/et. In addition, fans will be able post questions for the Winston Cup drivers to answer after the unveiling. Users will also have the chance to purchase limited edition die casts of these unique cars. The drivers listed below will race their Looney Tunes paint schemed cars at the Chevrolet Monte Carlo 400 at the Richmond International Raceway on September 7.
