Daytona Testing UPDATE: A test session at Daytona International Speedway for the 44th annual Pepsi 400 Cup race on July 6 and the inaugural Stacker 2/GNC Live Well 250 BGN race on July 5 will be held on Tuesday, June 11th and Wednesday June 12th from 9:00am-5:00pm/et with #98-Kenny Wallace (Cup) and and #12-Kerry Earnhardt BGN) testing. Wallace competes for Innovative Motorsports in the BGN but will test the #98 Stacker2 Chevy as he preps for the team’s four-race Winston Cup schedule, which kicks off with the Pepsi 400. Earnhardt will wheel the #12 Jani-King Chevy for Armando Fitz and NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw in the inaugural Stacker2/GNC Live Well 250 BGN race. Testing is free and open to the public with access to the Oldfield Grandstand through the lobby of DAYTONA USA.(DIS PR)(6-7-2002) UPDATE: Kenny Wallace, testing the #98 Chevy he’ll race for Innovative Motorsports in the July 6 Pepsi 400 ran an unofficial lap of 180.723mph. Two BGN drivers tested, #12-Kerry Earnhardt, who ran an unofficial speed of 182.186mph, and #64 C.W. Smith, no speed given. The start of Tuesday’s test session was delayed by rain and the cars didn’t take to the 2.5-mile tri-oval until the afternoon. Testing concludes on Wednesday and is free and open to the public with access to the Oldfield Grandstand through the lobby of DAYTONA USA.(DIS PR)(6-11-2002)
