Elite Motorsports announced the opening of its doors in Huntersville, NC. With the partnership of Donny Morelock, Mark Smith, and Randy Fenley, Elite Motorsports promises to be one of the most cost effective teams in motorsports. Elite Motorsports plans to have a limited CTS and BGN schedule for the 2002 season with two different sponsors and a full BGN schedule for 2003. The team has competitive Ford ARCA, CTS, BGN and Cup cars, which are also available for lease. Donny Morelock has driven in both the ARCA/Re-Max Series and the CTS, finishing 8th in points during the 2001 ARCA/Re-Max Series. Mark Smith is the sole owner of Tri-Star Motors.
