MRN to cover Petty Charity Ride:

MRN to cover Petty Charity Ride: For the fourth year in a row, Motor Racing Network (MRN) will provide unprecedented coverage of the Sprint / Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America with this year’s focus on raising donations and promoting awareness of the “Victory Junction Gang Camp”, a medical specialty camp founded by Kyle and Pattie Petty in honor of their late son Adam, a 19-year-old, fourth-generation NASCAR driver. The year-round camp, scheduled to open in 2004, is designed to enrich the lives of children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses. MRN’s creative strategy provides exposure for the camp and the annual motorcycle event through MRN Radio programming on nearly 700 affiliate radio stations and trackside Winston Cup Vision screens at all events where MRN broadcasts. The plan also includes weekly stories and updates on various MRN programs including “NASCAR Today” and “NASCAR Live.”(see full story on my Racing Charities page)(6-14-2002)
