Charlie Lewis, crew chief for the #46 Chevrolet of driver Ashton Lewis Jr., and team member Scott Honan received fines for actions during Friday night’s BGN race at RIR. Lewis was fined $2,000 for violation of Sections 12-4-A and 9-4-A: “Actions detrimental to stock car racing: Involved in an altercation in another competitor’s pit area: The crew chief assumes the responsibility for the actions of his team members.” Honan was fined $1,000 for being involved in an altercation in another competitor’s pit area.(NASCAR PR)(9-10-2002)
