Phillips 66 and The University of Kansas have teamed up to produce a special paint scheme for the #66 Dodge that will run in the BGN race at Kansas Speedway on September 28. Mears also was at the campus to unveil the car at the University of Kansas on September 9. Replacing the familiar black and red colors of Phillips 66 will be the university’s colors of crimson and blue. Riding along and occupying center stage on the hood and rear quarter panels of the #66 Dodge will be the familiar KU mascot, the “Jayhawk”(Phillips 66 Racing PR), see story at The Capital-Journal(9-11-2002)
