#54-Kevin Grubb is feeling the effect of his crash at Dover and will be replaced by Tim Fedewa in today’s race at Kansas. Grubb was in the car for practice and qualifying, but stepped out before Happy Hour on doctor’s advice as he was getting dizzier as the day went on. Fedawa will have to fall to the rear of the field before the green flag.(BGNRacing.com)(9-28-2002)
UPDATE: Kevin Grubb sat out the race Saturday because of dizziness brought on by the flu and aching wisdom teeth. Grubb told the Richmond Times-Dispatch that he was not suffering effects from a wreck a week earlier at Dover.(Daytona Beach News Journal)(10-2-2002)
UPDATE 2: Jerry Nadeau may drive the #54 Toys-R-Us Chevy for Team Bristol at the upcoming Little Trees 300 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on Oct. 12th. Kevin Grubb, who took over the ride at the Las Vegas race, suffered a hard hit at the Dover event last month and was still experiencing dizzy spells while practicing at Kansas Speedway last week. Tim Fedewa took over for Grubb after the green flag. Grubb has two top-five and six top-10 finishes this year and is 24th in points. Nadeau, who also drives the #44 Dodge for Petty Enterprises in the Winston Cup Series, was tapped to drive because it was announced earlier this week that Fedewa will take over the #92 Chevrolet of Herzog Jackson Motorsports after driver Todd Bodine and the team parted ways.(NASCAR.com Buzz)(10-4-2002)
