Wallace not worried about loss of points: Rusty Wallace says the loss of 25 points won’t kill his chances in the chase for the championship, however he says “We’ve got a long way to make up a lot of points…it’s just frustrating that happened, but it doesn’t kill it for sure.” NASCAR docked Wallace 25 points, Roger Penske 25 owner points and fined crew chief Billy Wilburn $25,000 for an unapproved spoiler found during pre-race inspection at Talladega. Wallace says “I can understand $25,000 thousand dollars, but I sure the hell don’t understand why the driver lost 25 points in the deal.” Since the part was found prior to practice at Talladega, Wallace said “It’s really hard to understand…it’s basically that if anybody unloads anything that’s questionable you get fined and points taken away if you have any intent, so it’s different.
