NASCAR officials announced that NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series crew chief Gary R. Showalter has been fined for an infraction found during initial inspection for the Nov. 2 American Racing Wheels 200 at California Speedway. Showalter, crew chief for the #15 Ford, was fined $250 for actions detrimental to stock car racing, specifically under Sections 12-4-A, 12-4-Q and 20B-12.1-A(3) of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Rule Book: “use of parts that do not conform to NASCAR rules.” The #15 Ford was found to have unapproved front jacking bolts.(NASCAR PR)(11-6-2002)
