Mac Hill Motorsports gets ready for 2003:

With veteran crew chief David Ifft calling the shots and technical consultant Jeff Spraker on board, Mac Hill Motorsports owner Jack McNelly is excited about the up-coming season. “We’re in the process of building on the foundation we set last year,” said McNelly. Having both David and Jeff join us will give us the resources we’ve needed to be contenders in the NASCAR Busch and ARCA series. Ifft, who has 27 career Winston Cup wins as a crew chief is spearheading the Mac Hill effort and will maintain the Busch cars at his York, SC, race shop and call the shots on race weekends. A driver search for 15-20 events is underway. Spraker, who in addition to driving for Mac Hill in six ARCA races, will maintain those cars with Ifft making the raceday calls. Spraker owns Spraker Racing Enterprises in Mooresville, NC, where he builds and services some of the most competitive cars in motorsports. Additionally, he serves as a consultant for several Winston Cup teams including Joe Gibbs Racing. McNelly is currently seeking sponsorship for the BGN cars and will also tender offers from drivers who already have sponsor relationships.(PR)(12-5-2002)
