#56 Team owner Jack McNelly announced today that series standout Tim Sauter would pilot the Mac Hill Motorsports Chevy’s this season on a limited schedule of 8-12 events. The first race will be the Rockingham 200 at the North Carolina Motor Speedway. “This was a perfect fit,” said McNelly who will also field cars in the ARCA Series for Jeff Spraker”, both Tim and I were each looking for an opportunity. We’ll give him the resources he needs and he’ll give us the driving style we’ve been looking for.” The team is based out of the York, SC, shop of veteran Crew Chief, David Ifft, who will lead both the Busch and ARCA Series teams for Mac Hill. “Jack is looking to bring his program to the next level”, said Sauter, “and I was looking for a situation like this. I am excited to be part of the building process and to have someone as knowledgeable as David calling the shots, gives me a great deal of confidence. While the limited schedule is concrete, sponsorship will dictate the number of additional races the team will enter. Neader Sports Management of St. Petersburg, FL, has taken the reigns for the sponsorship search and is in the process of tendering potential marketing partners. Summing it up McNelly said, “I feel we now have a sturdy foundation and we’ve got something to build on. Add to that the rich family history associated with the Sauter name and David’s expertise, I am confident that we’re going to make some noise this season.
