Clarence Brewer Jr., owner of Brewco Motorsports [#27 and #37] announced that the schedule for the #27 car has been finalized for the 2003 BGN season. The schedule for the #27 car will begin with Chase Montgomery driving the TrimSpa Pontiac in the season-opening Koolerz 300 at the Daytona International Speedway on February 15th. After Daytona, Hank Parker Jr. will drive the TrimSpa Pontiac at Rockingham on February 22nd and Darlington on March 15th. The current agreement with Parker is only for two races, Brewer reported. Chase Montgomery will pilot the #27 Pontiac at Las Vegas (March 1), Bristol (March 22), Texas (March 29), Talladega (April 5), Nashville (April 12), and California (April 26). These six races will have primary sponsorship and motorsports marketing support from legendary rock star Alice Cooper. Brewer noted that Brewco is actively seeking sponsorship for Montgomery to compete in a total of twenty races this season in a third entry from their Central City, Kentucky shop. Beginning with the BGN race at the Richmond on May 2nd and for the remaining 25 events on the 2003 schedule, Georgia native Joey Clanton will drive the #27 TrimSpa Pontiac.(Brewco PR via BGNRacing.com)(2-5-2003)
