Although Jason Leffler is competing in 25 Truck Series events as the driver of the No. 2 Dodge, he is set for an ambitious 15-race open wheel schedule that is peppered with a healthy mix of USAC Midget, Sprint and Silver Crown races. Leffler’s first 2003 open-wheel test will be this weekend at Madera (Calif.) Speedway in the Fred Gerhardt Classic, which features the Midgets today and the Sprint cars Saturday. He will compete again in the Sprint car division next weekend at the Mopar Twin 25’s at Irwindale (Calif.) Speedway.(Daytona Beach News Journal)(4-18-2003)
