The racing was hot, but not as smoking as the area around a couple of the collars belonging to Late Model Stock Car drivers at New River Valley Speedway on Saturday night. Mechanicsville’s [VA] Wayne Grubb made a rare appearance here a memorable one when he elbowed his way past at least two other cars on the way to the checkered flag in the Winners Circle 200. Grubb, 25 and a regular on the United Auto Racing Association circuit, first shoved past Tink Reedy then front-running Randy Taylor on the way to assuming the lead three laps from the finish.(more at Roanoke Times) AND Wayne Grubb married Holli Santella on April 19th, congrats.(4-27-2003)
