Kyle Busch, the 18-year-old brother of Winston Cup driver Kurt Busch, won his second consecutive ARCA race, dominating most of Saturday night’s Channel 5-205 at Kentucky Speedway. Busch remains undefeated since joining Hendrick Motorsports in February to run a combination of ARCA and NASCAR Busch series races this season. To gain the win Saturday, Busch repeatedly held off veteran Frank Kimmel, who had won all three previous ARCA events at the 1.5-mile speedway, located about 40 miles southwest of Cincinnati. Kimmel, 41, is a four-time series champion. Busch’s win was the third by a teen in the past four ARCA races. Busch, then 17, won the April 11 race at Nashville, Tenn., and 17-year-old Shelby Howard won the April 27 race at Salem, Ind. Kimmel has finished second each time to Busch and Howard and won the last race, May 4 at Toledo, Ohio. Originally, Busch planned to sign with Roush and compete in the NASCAR Truck series. Roush also fields cars for Kyle’s brother, Kurt, who was in attendance Saturday night. Busch is scheduled to make his Busch debut May 24 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, NC.(ThatsRacin.com), the race will be televised on Speed Channel on Sunday, May 11th at 2:00pm/et.(5-11-2003)
