60-G’s for Bodine:

Injured driver Brett Bodine [#11 Ford] says his car’s black box data recorder registered a hit measuring 60-Gs when he crashed into the wall between turns one and two during [Last] Saturday’s practice at Michigan knocking him out. Bodine is being evaluated by several doctors after suffering a concussion, a broken clavicle and a shoulder injury. His dentist is examining damage done to eight of Brett’s teeth. Bodine says the accident won’t deter him from getting back into the racecar, in fact he’ll look into some sort of mouth guard when he’s ready to get back into the racecar, however he won’t come back until he’s completely healed. And when he does, there’s a strong possibility he’ll have a new primary sponsor, backing Bodine says will give him the funding to finally be competitive with other teams.( PRN’s Garagepass & XM Satellite Radio )(6-23-2003)
