2003 Truck Series Points Fund Announced:

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams will receive more than $1.68 million in season-end awards following the 2003 season. The figure includes a $1.5 million-plus NASCAR/Craftsman points fund, paid to the top-20 drivers and owners in final series standings. The number will surpass last year’s fund. Also scheduled for payment at year-end is $180,000 in series manufacturer awards, well in excess of the $167,500 paid at the conclusion of the 2002 season. That amount is part of the nearly $2.2 million paid by manufacturers to series competitors this season, up dramatically from the $1.9 million disbursed last year. The funds will be disbursed following the ninth annual champions awards banquet on Nov. 15, being held for the second year at the Sheraton Bal Harbour Resort in Bal Harbour, Fla. The banquet follows by one day the season-ending Ford 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.(NASCAR PR)(6-27-2003)
