Edwards wins at Kentucky:

#99-Carl Edwards raced to his first NASCAR Truck series victory Saturday night, beating #1-Ted Musgrave by 3.568 seconds in the Built Ford Tough 225 at Kentucky Speedway. Edwards, a 23-year-old rookie from Columbia, Mo., finished second last week at Kansas Speedway, behind Roush Racing teammate #50-Jon Wood. Wood, who started on the pole in Kentucky, finished fourth, behind Edwards, Musgrave and #46-Dennis Setzer. Edwards qualified fifth Friday night using a backup engine. His original engine broke during Friday afternoon’s practice session. Because his engine was changed, his Ford as relegated to the back of the field and started 30th in the 36-truck field. #62-Brendan Gaughin led with 39 laps left, but his Dodge blew an engine, giving Edwards the opening he needed. #4-Bobby Hamilton started second and led briefly at the start, but struggled most of the way and finished 18th. #2-Jason Leffler rounded out the top five. Points leader, #16-Travis Kvapil finished 6th and maintains the points lead. #15-Mike Skinner finished 13th on the lead lap in his CTS return.(ThatsRacin.com/AP)
