Testing at Atlanta:

Ford Racing will conduct a one-day test session on Monday, July 21, at Atlanta Motor Speedway with NASCAR Craftsman Truck drivers #14-Rick Crawford and #99-Carl Edwards. Although Atlanta Motor Speedway is not a stop on the Craftsman Truck circuit, it is a popular testing spot for truck teams, as it does not count against their yearly total mandated by NASCAR. But the extra knowledge teams gain from practicing on the high-banked 1.54-mile quad-oval – similar to series stops at Texas and Lowe’s Motor Speedway – is invaluable. Ford officials said Monday’s test will be specifically to test air flow for the cooling system of the truck. The test is closed to the public.(Atlanta Motor Speedway PR)(7-16-2003)
