As part of a special one-race arrangement, Rick Crawford and the #14 Circle Bar Racing Team will carry the Craftsman colors for the Sears 200 at Michigan International Speedway on July 26. The #14 Ford truck will feature the famous red and black colors of America’s No. 1 tool brand. Two Craftsman wrenches cross on the hood and Craftsman saw blades are featured around the wheels. The paint scheme is similar to that of the Craftsman NHRA Funny Car driven by Dale Creasy, Jr. “All of us at Circle Bar Racing are honored to be carrying the Craftsman logo and colors on our truck in Michigan,” said Crawford, who currently sits sixth in points. “Without Craftsman, a lot of us wouldn’t be here racing today. I’m proud to be representing Craftsman during the Sears 200, and I hope we can take the sponsor of our Series to Victory Lane.”
“We thought it fitting to highlight our sponsorship of the Sears 200 at Michigan International Speedway by developing a special paint scheme for one of the most noteworthy teams in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series,” said Tour Claiborne, Sears motorsports marketing manager. Craftsman has had a long-standing relationship with Rick Crawford, and we are pleased that he will be piloting the #14 Craftsman truck during the Sears 200,” Claiborne added.(Craftsman Motorsports PR)(7-17-2003)
