Waltrip wins at Bristol:

Michael Waltrip pulled away after the last caution to win the Food City 250 at Bristol. The rest of the top five were: #2-Ron Hornaday, #6-Ted Musgrave, #48-Shane Hmiel, and #21-Kevin Harvick. Waltrip survived a wreck-marred Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway, with 13 cautions and his own bump and pass of then-leader Ron Hornaday on Lap 216 of 250, before cruising to a 1.501-second win over Hornaday. It was Waltrip’s first NASCAR Busch Series win of the season and 10th of his career. His last win was in August 2002 at Michigan. Waltrip was leading on a restart on Lap 201 when he developed problems with his shifter. Hornaday, running second at the time, took advantage and moved into the lead. Waltrip remained in second until he made his bump and pass for the top spot on Lap 216 and moved out to a comfortable lead for the final 35 laps. Harvick, who started second, led the first 109 laps, but fell back following a pit stop when he thought he had a tire going down. The 13 cautions cautioned 73 laps. There were six lead changes among four drivers.(ThatsRacin.com)
